Journalists and journalism students from Latin America can apply for the virtual workshop “Journalism Solutions for Climate Stories with a Gender Perspective: Experiences from Latin America,” which will be taught by science and environmental journalist and editor-at-large of Climate Tracker Latin America, Paula Díaz Levi, with the support of the Solutions Journalism Network.
The Solutions Journalism Workshop – which refers to rigorous, evidence-based coverage of responses to social/environmental problems and their outcomes – seeks to empower journalists and journalism students from any country in Latin America, in order to lay the groundwork to cover stories about climate solutions with a gender perspective, highlighting local and regional solutions that address gender inequalities and promote climate resilience.
This workshop consists of two sessions that will be held on Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30 at 3:00 p.m. in Mexico; 4:00 p.m. in Colombia; 5:00 p.m. in Chile and 6:00 p.m. in Argentina. The sessions will be taught in Spanish and will last 2 hours each.
