Four days. Real solutions. New opportunities. One connected future.

No flights.  No hotels.  No bureaucracy.  No aggravation.  No fees.  No kidding.

January 12–15, 2027 | Worldwide | Live and interactive | Online

This isn’t a traditional conference where you listen to presentations, collect information, and go home.

It’s a global, interactive media experience that connects people doing the work with people who want to learn, collaborate, create opportunities, and make a difference.

  • The big idea: Come for the knowledge. Discover what works. Connect with the people doing it. Leave with something you can do.
  • No travel. No hotels. No geographical barriers. Participate from wherever you are.

What can you do here?

Listen and learn

  • Hear directly from people developing and implementing solutions in their communities.
  • Discover how human rights, health, food, energy, technology, finance, education and the environment are connected.
  • Your benefit: Understand complex challenges without needing to be an expert.

Join the conversations

  • Participate in live discussions and working sessions. Ask questions, share your experiences, and help identify what communities need.
  • Your benefit: Move from being an audience member to an active participant.

Discover solutions that work

  • Explore initiatives already making measurable improvements in people’s lives.
  • Find practical approaches to community health, clean energy, food production, restorative justice, circular economies, and other interconnected challenges.
  • Your benefit: Find ideas and models you can investigate, adapt, support, or help expand.

Find your people

  • Meet media makers, innovators, educators, organizers, and practitioners working on related challenges.
  • Discover opportunities to exchange knowledge, share resources, or collaborate across sectors and regions.
  • Your benefit: Stop working in isolation. Build meaningful relationships.

Explore new careers and opportunities

  • Discover how changing systems are transforming work, education, and the skills people need.
  • Connect with organizations developing training programs and pathways in emerging fields.
  • Your benefit: Identify new directions for learning, employment, entrepreneurship, and collaboration.

Share your work with the world

  • Have a working solution, project, training program, story, or initiative?
  • Introduce it through the Mobilized Exchange, submit it for editorial consideration, or participate in an IMX session.
  • Your benefit: Help interested people discover your work and connect with potential collaborators. Publication and participation are subject to review and availability.

Help build the Mobilized Media Alliance

  • Join the founding conversation about a collaborative media network connecting independent media makers, systems changemakers, and communities.
  • Help develop shared standards, working groups, programming, and partnerships.
  • Your benefit: Participate in shaping an ongoing network rather than attending a one-time event.

Choose your experience

  • You don’t need to participate in everything. Start with what interests you.

  • Leave with a pathway to participate

How to participate.

You can experience the IMX from your home, office, school, or community gathering space.

Your simple participation checklist:

  • Register for the IMX when registration opens.
  • Explore the agenda and choose your sessions.
  • Identify one question, challenge, or opportunity you want to explore.
  • Join the live audio sessions and available discussions.
  • Connect with projects or people who interest you.
  • Choose one action to take after the event.

Can’t attend live?

The plan is to make recorded audio and written summaries available afterward, so you can explore the sessions on your own schedule.

What happens when the IMX ends?

We turn conversations into an ongoing network.

The IMX creates the connections. Mobilized News keeps the information and opportunities moving. The Mobilized Media Alliance provides a framework for ongoing collaboration.

Beginning the following week, the proposed programming includes:

  • The Big Picture: Understand how challenges connect.
  • Flip the Script: Listen to conversations that challenge outdated assumptions.
  • Solutions in Action: Discover real projects making progress.
  • The Opportunity: Find new career and training pathways.
  • The Alliance Exchange: Connect needs, resources, people, and projects.

You can continue participating through editorial contributions, audio conversations, project listings, working groups, and future online events.

Why this matters: Progress requires more than awareness. It requires sustained relationships, accessible knowledge, and ways for people to contribute.
