Welcome to the Mobilized Exchange

Turn needs, ideas and resources into action

The Mobilized Exchange is an always-available marketplace where people, communities, media creators, organizations and solution providers can find one another and work together.

It connects:

Problems with solutions.
Projects with supporters.
Stories with media creators.
Skills with people who need them.
Ideas with opportunities for action.

Less talking. More doing.

What is the Mobilized Exchange?

The Mobilized Exchange is a public connection and action platform.

People can use it to:

  • Ask for help.
  • Share a practical solution.
  • Find project partners.
  • Offer skills or resources.
  • Find people with shared goals.
  • Connect stories with independent media creators.
  • Discover events, opportunities and working sessions.

It is designed to help useful information move beyond conversation and into coordinated action.

Why is it needed?

Many people already have valuable knowledge, skills, ideas and solutions.

The problem is that they are often disconnected.

Communities may not know where to find the right expertise. Solution providers may not know who needs their work. Media creators may struggle to discover important stories. Projects may need partners, visibility or practical support.

The Mobilized Exchange creates a shared place where these needs and capabilities can become visible.

Instead of waiting for the next conference, meeting or introduction, people can connect and continue working at any time.

Who is the Exchange for?

The Exchange is for anyone working to improve life for people, communities and the planet.

This includes:

Communities looking for answers, resources or support.

Solution providers sharing proven tools, services and innovations.

Independent media creators looking for meaningful stories and assignments.

Organizations seeking partners, contributors or collaborators.

Researchers and educators sharing knowledge and practical findings.

Conscious creators offering communication, design, production or technical skills.

Public leaders looking for community insight and workable solutions.

Global citizens ready to contribute time, knowledge or support.

What can you do here?

Post a problem, challenge or unmet need.

Explain:

  • What is happening.
  • Who is affected.

  • Where the need is located.
  • What a successful result would look like.

Your listing can help the right people discover the need and respond.

Explain:

  • What the solution does.
  • Which problem it addresses.
  • Who it can help.
  • Where it is available.
  • What is needed to put it into use.

This helps communities and organizations discover solutions that may otherwise remain unseen.

How does the Exchange work?

1. Choose what you want to do

You can browse existing listings, add a listing or respond to someone else.

2. Add clear information

Describe the need, solution, project, offer or media opportunity in plain language.

The more specific the listing is, the easier it is for the right people to understand and respond.

3. Select the correct category

Choose the listing type that best describes what you are posting:

  • Problems Seeking Solutions
  • Solutions Available
  • Projects Seeking Support
  • People Seeking People
  • Offers of Help
  • Media Creator Available
  • Story or Project Seeking Media Coverage

4. Add the system and location

Select the sector, system or service area connected to the listing.

Examples include:

  • Whole-System Design
  • Circular Design
  • Clean and Renewable Energy
  • Food Production and Distribution
  • Personal and Digital Democracy
  • ICT and Cybersecurity
  • Public and Planetary Health
  • Smarter Cities and Communities
  • Mobility and Transportation
  • Ethical Finance
  • Media and Storytelling

Add the region or location so people can find opportunities relevant to them.

5. Submit the listing

Listings may be reviewed before publication to make sure the information is clear, relevant and appropriate.

6. The listing is published

Once approved, the listing becomes searchable in the Exchange.

Mobilized may also route the listing to the appropriate administrator, coordinator or connected system.

7. People respond

Interested people can use the response form to offer help, request information or explore collaboration.

8. The connection continues

The listing owner and responder decide what happens next.

Mobilized helps create the connection. The participants determine the relationship, responsibilities and next steps.

  • A short summary.
  • A description of the need or offer.
  • The relevant system or sector.
  • The region or location.
  • A contact email.
  • Any useful website, evidence, portfolio or supporting material.

Be specific about what you can realistically provide.

A useful response might say:

What happens after you submit?

After you submit a listing:

  1. Mobilized receives the information.
  2. The listing may be reviewed.
  3. Approved listings are published in the Exchange.
  4. The listing owner receives a publication notice.
  5. The listing becomes available for discovery and response.
  6. Mobilized administrators may review it for possible connections or follow-up.

Submitting a listing does not guarantee a match, funding, media coverage or partnership.

It makes the opportunity visible and gives the right people a way to respond.

How to create a stronger listing

Be clear

Explain what is happening without unnecessary technical language.

Be specific

State exactly what you need or what you can offer.

Provide context

Help readers understand why the listing matters.

  • Offer technical assistance.
  • Join a working group.
  • Provide media coverage.
  • Share a resource.

The opportunity

The knowledge and capabilities needed to build healthier systems already exist in many places.

They are often separated by geography, sectors, institutions and communication barriers.

The Mobilized Exchange helps make those connections possible.

It is not simply a place to post information.

It is a place to help people:

Find one another.
Understand what is needed.
Share what is working.
Coordinate practical action.
Build what comes next.

Less talking. More doing.
