• Sustainable debt reached a new scale. Climate Bonds Initiative reported that aligned green, social, sustainability and sustainability-linked debt has reached about $7.3 trillion cumulatively, with green bonds posting their strongest quarter yet. (Climate Bonds)
• Forests are being turned into an investable preservation system. Brazil’s Tropical Forest Forever Facility aims to mobilize $125 billion and pay countries for maintaining standing forests rather than only selling carbon credits. • Green finance is spreading beyond major economies. Laos saw what was described as its first green bond, with proceeds intended for electric-mobility charging infrastructure, while Spain’s sovereign green bond offering drew exceptionally strong investor demand. (Environmental Finance)
