About this event

Dancing with the Russian Bear is a documentary series looking at security crisis after the Russian full scale invasion of Ukraine. The film is an insight behind closed doors of power with protagonist Katarzyna Pisarska, chair of the Warsaw Security Forum.

The fly-on-the-wall approach captures off-the-record conversations and the mood among European presidents, prime ministers and lawmakers facing tough questions. Why has the West misread Putin? Will it be capable of listening to Russia’s neighbours as Europe prepares for the worst-case scenario?

The documentary features the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrii Yermak; Ukraine deputy PM Olha Stefanishyna; Head of the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov; Polish PM Radosław Sikorski, Lithuanian President; Dalia Grybauskaite, Lithuanian FM Gabrielius Landsbergis; Former Director of the CIA David Petraeus; President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili, Yaroslav Bazilevich, Hanna Hopko; Oleksandra Matviichuk.

For her leadership accomplishments in the non-for-profit sector, in 2014 Prof. Pisarska was recognized as a Young Global Leader (YGL) by the World Economic Forum and later selected to serve on the YGL Advisory Group.
