The world doesn’t need another conference about what’s wrong.
It needs to hear from the people making things right.
Mobilized News invites systems changemakers, community innovators, social entrepreneurs and practitioners to share their working solutions at The IMX — a global, interactive media experience connecting the people transforming our world.
No travel. No hotels. Participate from wherever you are.
This isn’t about presenting another theory. It’s about showing what works.
What is The IMX?
The IMX is a four-day global media experience, January 12–15, 2027, bringing together people creating meaningful change and those preparing others for the careers emerging from it.
The first two days focus on understanding and demonstrating systems change.
We will explore what’s wrong, why problems persist, what’s already working and how successful initiatives can be adapted elsewhere.
Human rights provide our principles. Systems change provides our pathway. People provide the power.
Why are we doing this?
Our biggest challenges are interconnected. Yet too often, we address them separately.
Food affects health. Energy affects economies. Transportation shapes communities. Technology influences democracy. Media shapes what we understand about all of them.
The opportunity: Connect the people solving these challenges so their work becomes more visible, understandable and actionable.
Mobilized News provides the connected media platform to help make that happen.
Who should apply?
We’re looking for people actively developing or implementing solutions in:
- Human rights and justice
- Circularity and whole-system design
- Clean and renewable energy
- Food production and distribution
- Public and planetary health
- Personal and digital democracy
- Ethical finance and community economies
- ICT and cybersecurity
- Smarter cities and communities
- Mobility and transportation
- Independent media and storytelling
Your project doesn’t need to be enormous. Local solutions and early-stage initiatives are welcome.
What matters is that you’re doing the work and can explain what you’ve accomplished, what you’ve learned and what comes next.
What will you share?
We want presentations that answer six essential questions.
- What’s the problem?
Identify the challenge and its underlying causes.
- What are you doing about it?
Explain your solution in plain language.
- What’s working?
Demonstrate your progress, results and lessons learned.
- How does it advance human rights?
Show how your work improves dignity, opportunity, well-being or access.
- Can others participate or adapt your approach?
Explain what it would take to bring your solution to other communities.
- What do you need to move forward?
Identify opportunities for collaboration, resources, expertise or support.
We’re especially interested in presentations featuring real-world experience and demonstrated progress, including honest accounts of what hasn’t worked.
