When Evil Protects : Courage and Bravery required

“People didn’t want to believe that the Government would cover up the scandals of child abuse, child trafficking and guardianship.” — Nick Bryant.

When investigative journalist Nick Bryant tried to amplify the stories of child abuse, guardianship and child trafficking, no major media outlet would touch his story.   Here’s the backstory.

In an attempt to secure a publisher for this information, every major media outlet, radio, television and print—refused to do so…with one exception.  Gawker.com, led by Nick Denton, published the names on the list, and eliminated their telephone numbers.  While the list did not confirm any illegal actions, what it did was inform people who he was in contact with.

The published black book information can still be found in the archive, here There is still a remaining hesitance for media outlets and government officials to release the information.

But it doesn’t stop here.  There is a demanding need for stories of corruption to be uncovered and prosecuted.  And it’s not so easy when people are living in a state of fear. Instead–we need courage and bravery from all people involved.

  • Is it sensitive?
  • Can it bring down the current economic system?
  • What dangers does this information hold for those listed?
  • How can the public make sense of the ongoing coverups, sensationism, and politicking of this information.
  • And what could be the outcome of making this information public?
