Who’s doing it?

AND THEN THE FINAL ACT

I would not end this documentary with a narrator telling people what the future should be.

End with people building it.

A farmer.

An engineer.

A nurse.

A teacher.

A scientist.

A teenager.

A mayor.

A community organizer.

A designer.

A factory worker.

An entrepreneur.

A journalist.

Images move increasingly quickly between them.

Different countries.

Different languages.

Different problems.

But increasingly similar principles:

LOCAL CAPABILITY

CIRCULARITY

REGENERATION

PREVENTION

DECENTRALIZATION

COLLABORATION

TRANSPARENCY

LONG-TERM THINKING

HUMAN RIGHTS

Then return to the opening question:

“How did we get here?”

And replace it with another.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

The screen changes.

A map appears.

Thousands of points begin appearing around the world.

Projects.

People.

Ideas.

Communities.

Solutions.

And then:

YOU ARE HERE.

Followed by:

WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO?

That should be the moment where the documentary ends — and Mobilized begins.

Because the most powerful idea behind this project is not that Mobilized has discovered the answer.

It is that millions of people are already creating pieces of it.

Your job is to reveal the connections.

That is the logical successor to We the People, We the Power:

We the People showed where power resides.
This new experience shows what we can do with it.
