• Electric aviation entered another real-world testing phase. Federal eVTOL demonstration flights launched in Texas, allowing regulators to gather operational data for electric air taxis and autonomous aircraft before large-scale deployment. (Department of Transportation)
• Britain committed to mainline battery-electric rail. Alstom and TransPennine Express signed contracts worth about €1.2 billion for 29 battery-electric trains plus charging and maintenance infrastructure—a significant step toward decarbonizing partially electrified rail corridors. (Alstom)
• China set a target for mass autonomous-vehicle deployment by 2030. The new roadmap combines autonomous driving, EVs, regulation, road deployment and industrial policy rather than treating self-driving technology as a stand-alone product. (Reuters)
