Fighting for Fair Markets Locally
6 6 people viewed this event.
Now more than ever, our economy is rigged to favor giant corporations at the expense of regular people and small businesses.
Monopolies use their power to raise prices and squeeze out competition, despite giving little back to local communities.
We’ll hear from speakers and business owners about how the affordability crisis is impacting Main Street, and what states and cities can do about it. We’ll highlight practical policy changes that communities can use to take power back from huge corporations and invest in local economies instead.
Speakers:
Alvaro Bedoya — Former FTC Commissioner Kennedy Smith
Institute for Local Self-Reliance Justin Stofferahn
Minnesota Farmers Union Richard Trent
Main Street Alliance
Hosted by: Athena Coalition, Institute for Local Self-Reliance, Main Street Alliance, and Small Business Majority.
