Flip the Script — A Feature Documentary by Mobilized News
After the success of We the People, We the Power, Mobilized invites you to FLIP THE SCRIPT
The world doesn’t lack solutions. It lacks a way for them to travel.
Mobilized News is launching Flip the Script, a feature documentary and global co-creation project spotlighting how communities around the world are restoring health, resilience, and well-being—right now.
- No waiting for the next global summit.
- No dependency on distant institutions.
- Just people, places, and practical solutions already working.
We’re inviting communities, practitioners, local governments, cooperatives, Indigenous groups, researchers, and civic innovators to take part in building this documentary together.
What Is Flip the Script ?
Flip the Script is a main feature documentary supported by eight mini-documentaries, each focused on a critical system shaping everyday life. The project shows how communities are restoring health and well-being through whole system-designed and interdependent communities.
Together, they tell a clear story:
Change doesn’t start “someday.”
It starts where people are—when systems are redesigned to work together.
This is solutions-driven storytelling, grounded in lived experience, real data, and community leadership.

The 8 Featured Sectors
Each sector will appear in the main feature and receive its own standalone mini-documentary:
- Energy: Community-owned, distributed, and regenerative energy systems
- Food: Food sovereignty, regenerative agriculture, and resilient local supply chains
- Materials & Resources (Circularity): Designing waste out of systems through reuse, repair, and circular production
- Personal & Digital Democracy: Participatory governance, civic tech, and trust-building decision systems
- I.C.T. & Cyber Security: Digital resilience, open infrastructure, and community data protection
- Planetary & Public Health: Where ecosystem health, human health, and prevention meet
- Smart Cities: Human-centered urban systems designed with communities, not for them
- Transportation & Mobilization: Mobility as a service, access, and low-carbon movement of people and goods
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking real-world stories, not polished PR.
Your submission might include:
- A community solving a problem others said was impossible
- A system redesign that improved lives and reduced harm
- A collaboration that crossed sectors (energy + health, food + jobs, tech + democracy)
- Lessons learned from what didn’t work—and how you adapted
Formats can include:
- Short video clips or rough footage
- Written narratives or case summaries
- Data, visuals, or documentation
- Invitations for on-site or remote filming collaboration
You do not need a professional film crew to participate.
🛠 How Co-Creation Works
Mobilized News will:
- Curate stories across regions and sectors
- Support ethical storytelling and consent-based participation
- Align narratives into a coherent, systems-level documentary arc
- Produce sector-specific mini-docs communities can use locally
- Distribute through global media, community screenings, and participatory events
This is not extraction.
This is shared authorship.
Why This Matters
Legacy media focuses on crisis.
Legacy summits focus on promises.
Flip the Script focuses on capability:
- What’s already working
- Why it works
- How others can adapt it where they are
Because a well-informed public is the most valuable natural resource we have.
Who Should Submit
- Community organizers & cooperatives
- Indigenous and frontline communities
- Local governments & public agencies
- Researchers & practitioners
- Civic technologists & open-source builders
- Youth-led and intergenerational initiatives
If you’re building something that restores health, dignity, and resilience, this project is for you.
