It was a time unlike any time in human history.
The 1960’s were a time of revolution and evolution; a time when people were mad and for good reason.
The leaders that we loved and believed in were taken down, shot down in cold blood, two Kennedy brothers, John F and Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther King Malcolm X, there was Kent State Vietnam and Nixon. Those who lived during these times experienced it as it happened–not in memoirs or history books.
But despite the cynicism everywhere, we found a way to unite—to come together, and then Woodstock— for a little while—brought us together with a single purpose: there was a better way…
- So what led to all of this?
- Why was the vision of Woodstock Generation not realized?
- And how do we understand what was behind the great musicianship and spirits which refuse to go away?
- What can we learn from all of this?
- What are the behind the scenes stories of this time time of radical uprising that united people?
- What was flowing through the artists whose music has lasted the test of time?
- And how did this influence a movement of movements that meant something to touch the heart and soul and minds of a younger generation that got them into action.
This was in generation that believed that actions were stronger than words. What made these people tick?
What was the starting point that lit the fuse behind the musicians and maestros that led cultural evolution and revolution change imagine what could’ve been accomplished if they had the tools now to share with lightning speed?
I’m more importantly, what can we do? What can people do worldwide to learn from the movements of this incredible turbulent decade?
A time when music mattered, but also, made a difference.
This is not a story that rehashes what we’ve already heard, but instead a story that goes behind the scenes underneath the current and reveals a heart and soul perspective which reveals why we did what we did, as told by the people who lived with and performed along side some of the most significant forces the music world has ever seen.
