Phoenix
A personal story from Mobilized News’ Co-Founder.
In December of 2015, I survived a Widowmaker Heart Attack. It’s called a Widowmaker for a reason. Only 2-4% of the people who have a Widowmaker survive it. I’m one of the very lucky ones.
After a successful five hour triple bypass surgery, my heart health was restored. I spent every day focusing on returning to optimal health.
While I am grateful to be alive, it was the caring and support of those working on me and working on others that planted the concept of MOBILIZED. I experienced love and compassion for the patients in my wing, and watched carefully as there were no ego’s, the people who worked with me and on me communicated effectively and efficiently. I saw it as the way that Nature exists, communicating and nurturing one another.
During my two week hospital stay, I was told to not watch the news for it would not be good for my recovery, and I listened to two pieces of music repeatedly:
Sam Cooke’s “A Change is Gonna Come”
Leonard Bernstein Conducting Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, 4th Movement in Berlin for the Fall of the Wall.
I had met a lovely Hungarian girl a few months before the above experience; she introduced me to Revi “Sunny” Sandor. Sunny wrote music and recorded his guitar and vocals to me. I am grateful every day for this. Infact, his music have been the theme music to our two documentaries, “We are One,” and “We the People, We the Power,” which will be released in February, 2024.
Out of chaos comes creation.
About one year ago, the house that Sunny and his father lived in, caught fire and only ashes remained. Instead of focusing on despair, they focused on Hope. Out of the ashes, came a beautiful song, “Phoenix” which is the musical theme of “We the People, We the Power.”
I’m about to do something I’ve never done before. I hope that somehow, someway, his request can be honored, by sharing his video and if possible, help him rebuild through a donation listed in the video.
His words, music and Love for humanity has been a tremendous gift to my heart and soul. I hope his song is a gift to yours.
With love for humanity,
Steven Jay
